By incorporating our organic Blood Meal into your garden soil, you can ensure that your heavy feeders will receive this necessary nutrient to thrive.

Blood Meal can also be used to lightly amend basic soils as it will slightly increase acidity levels.  Do not use Blood Meal on plants that thrive in more neutral or basic soil pH. 

Add Blood Meal to your compost pile to balance your carbon-nitrogen ratio and speed up the decomposition process.

Blood Meal has been used to deter pests like deer, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, and moles.  It can be used as part of an integrated pest management practice.  

DIRECTIONS: 

Apply Blood Meal in the spring.  Use 1 to 2 pounds per 100 square feet. A 2-pound application is considered heavy feeding.  You can side-dress established plants with a small amount and water-in well.  

As a precaution, avoid over-application, as it can burn roots at high quantities.  Do not use on legumes or young seedlings.
