All Peppers:
Sow pepper seeds indoors, 8-10 weeks before transplanting. Transplant 2-3 weeks after the expected last frost. Planting Depth: 0.25" and keep the soil moist at 80° F. Seed Spacing: Sow 4 seeds per inch. As soon as seedlings emerge, provide plenty of light on a sunny windowsill or beneath plant lights.
Transplant the seedlings to 3 or 4-inch pots when they have 3 pairs of leaves, so they have enough room to develop strong roots. Harden off plants before planting in the garden.
Space plants 18" apart in rows, keeping each row approximately 2' apart in full sun. Plants should be supported. Peppers thrive in well-drained, fertile soils with a pH of 6.5. We recommend Blossom Booster & Fruit Finisher and Granulated Steamed Bone Meal for optimal pepper growth.
