This new organic formulation of Rootshield Plus+ contains two active ingredients: the patented Trichoderma harzianum strain T-22 and Trichoderma virens G-41. These two strains are 100% compatible with Mycorrhizae and fertilizers. Rootshield Plus+ provides 3 months of preventative control of major soilborne root diseases, including Fusarium, Phytophthora, Rhizoctonia, Thielaviopsis, Cylindrocladium, and Pythium.  Rootshield Plus+ should be used in your plant health management program every year!

BENEFITS:

When Rootshield Plus+ is used, over 150 billion spores can be applied in one application. The spores germinate in 16 to 24 hours. As the Mycelium emerges from the spore, it immediately starts coiling around the plants' roots and any plant pathogen propagules present. After 24 hours, Rootshield Plus+ cannot be leached from the soil.  

Rootshield Plus+ has two primary modes of action: (1) competitive exclusion, which means Rootshield Plus+ gets to the pathogen-preferred sites first and prevents diseases from getting into the roots, and (2) mycoparasitism, whereby Rootshield Plus+ encounters a pathogen mycelial strand and secretes enzymes, including chitinases and glucanases, that dissolve the invading pathogen’s cell walls.

In addition to root disease protection, Rootshield Plus+ delivers faster and stronger root development and promotes more root hair growth to increase water and nutrient uptake.  It will also protect plants from heat and drought stress, as well as transplant shock.  

Rootshield Plus+ is available in granular and water-soluble forms.  We have made arrangements to secure factory-fresh products for each order. Please allow a little extra time for delivery.  We recommend storage in a refrigerator or freezer to increase the longevity of the product.  

Rootshield Plus+ WP (Soluble) cannot be shipped outside of the United States, Alaska, or Hawaii. 

DIRECTIONS:

You can water Rootshield Plus+ into established plants, or the granules can be added to a starting mix or tilled into the growing beds.  

Soluble Powder:

6 ounces will make 100 gallons of ready-to-use solution for giant pumpkins.

Granular: 

½ pound per 1,000 square feet tilled into the soil ½ teaspoon per 1 cubic foot of seed starting mix.
